Enterprise Edition: Transfer files via HTTP(S) from public Web servers through any number of firewalls to a file server, where sensitive information can remain secure.
Enterprise Edition: Uploads from Web server to file server are submitted as SOAP requests, allowing your firewall to reject all non-SOAP requests. The SOAP request sends all user-submitted form data to the file server with the upload. Choose to have FileUpEE automatically create the SOAP request, or create the request yourself via ASP or ASP.NET.
Enterprise Edition: Within multi-Web server architectures uploaded files are stored in a central, shared file location. A file that is uploaded to a server in a Web farm is immediately available to be downloaded from any other server in that Web farm. There is no need to replicate data between all of the Web servers. Centrally located, the data can be replicated to multiple file storage areas for additional backup protection.
Enterprise Edition: Application logic specific to the transfer - such as a database connection string - can be optionally contained on a secure centrally located file server. When the application requires modification, the information only needs to be changed on the file server - not on each server in the Web farm.
Enterprise Edition: Create an audit database that details information about the upload/download. Track when files are sent, time of completion, size of files, etc.
Enterprise Edition: All files are transferred with fully extensible properties to describe them. And with file size concerns no longer an issue, IT Departments, through minimal scripting, can immediately replicate all files to a disaster recovery system.
Enterprise and Professional Editions: Clean, customizable interface for a) multiple file and directory uploads, b) File/Folder list sorting by name, date, or size, c) color parameters for background, buttons, file list box, and text, d) multiple file extension filters and e) directory navigation buttons.
Enterprise and Professional Editions: Preset the client file path for a download or the file to upload from a user's hard disk.
Enterprise and Professional Editions: Access system transfer methods (WinInet, Sockets, URLConnect), support SSL, proxies, and multiple authentication mechanisms, make multiple HTTP Gets or Posts in a single operation, generates events for capture by Internet Explorer or Visual Basic.
Enterprise and Professional Editions: Display an accurate progress indicator for both an individual file and the total transfer while uploading and downloading.
Professional and Standard Editions: Transmit files up to 4 gigabytes. Enterprise Edition: There are no limitations on the number or size of files you can upload. Back up entire hard drives in a single step.
All Editions: Solve potentially server-crippling upload limitations in ASP.NET and IIS. By intercepting transfer requests with an ISAPI filter, FileUp buffers a small portion of the upload into physical memory, then caches it to disk, before gracefully passing it to IIS on the Web server.
All Editions: Intuitive object models, clear documentation, and extensive working samples make all editions of FileUp - and the bonus tools they include - very easy to use.
All Editions: There are no file type limitations in any of the editions. Transfer .doc, .pdf, .psd and .mpeg files just to name a few.
All Editions: Verify the integrity of uploaded data when transferring files from a browser to a Web server. Enterprise Edition: Verify data integrity when uploading from browser to Web server or from Web server to file server.
All Editions: Uploads from the client to the Web server can be SSL encoded so that the information is encrypted during transmission. In contrast, there is no means for doing that using standard FTP.
All Editions: Compress uploads and decompress downloads in zip format. Filter files by type, size, and name.
